Our values

Our values help to define the ways in which we work and guide us in our decision-making.

Our values help shape the way in which we work

Everything we do is grounded in making a difference. We are strategic in how we deploy our resources, ensuring we support the Royal Navy community in ways that are both effective and sustainable—empowering individuals and families to thrive.

Empowered

We work to enable everyone in the Royal Navy community to thrive; to do this, we build empowered relationships within our team, our partners and the wider military community.

Energised

We are forward-looking and committed to understanding and meeting the evolving needs of the Royal Navy community. To achieve this, we innovate, exploring new and agile ways of working to deliver funding and positive change.

Impactful

We deliver positive change to make a lasting impact, enabling all in the Royal Navy community to thrive in and beyond military service. To achieve this, we leverage our assets effectively and strategically, ensuring our funding is sustainable and directed where it is most needed.

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)

Greenwich Hospital’s work with the Royal Navy is built on empowered relationships, forward-thinking innovation, and lasting impact; we are committed to building a workplace and supporting organisations and communities where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to thrive

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, and victimisation, including sexual harassment, from staff, contractors, volunteers, partners, grant recipients and third parties.

We expect all individuals and organisations we work with to uphold these principles.

Our EDI journey is ongoing. We welcome dialogue with our community about how we can continue to improve our practice and impact.
